THE HALLOWEEN PROJECT – DAY FOUR

Sometimes a girl just wants to be scary for Halloween. I was working at DreamWorks Animation on Halloween 2007. I had only been working there as a temp for a few months. Of course, the perfect way to endear my new coworkers to me and get hired permanently was obviously dressing as a 30 Days of Night vampire.

DreamWorks makes a big production every year on the campus at Halloween and its only gotten bigger since 2007. As someone who dresses up every year for Halloween - for work and to give out candy - I was super excited to finally be surrounded by other Halloween loving coworkers who decorated their work spaces, planned out themed group costumes, and made works of art out of pumpkins for the pumpkin carving contests.

As I walked into the commissary for coffee, a male coworker screamed when he saw me. I learned that day my coworkers liked their Halloween G rated, not horrifying. Oops.
